This morning (read afternoon) I awoke to a lethargic beginning (read middle) of the day. Watching the end of the unexpectedly sloppy and exciting Steelers-Vikings game brought an exciting beginning to the day. The two cheese bagels that followed were something of a downer (greasy stuff man!).
So to the shower! Almost convinced myself to forgo a run in favor of a nice warm shower and afternoon of relaxation. Mental toughness prevailed and I ran 3 miles, and was promptly rewarded with this trio of uplifting sings to charge my progress:
- The Who - Baba O'riley
- Flight of the Conchords - If that's what you're into
- Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone
That was a most epic beginning to my run and a welcome substitute to attempting to run on the strength of singing in my head, and somewhat more sane feeling.
A weekend of victory, one of many lately......
